Getting started
The onboarding flow will walk you through everything, but here’s the high-level:
Connect your machine: enter your machine’s local IP address to connect over WiFi
Connect your scale: pair via Bluetooth (Acaia and Bookoo supported for now, drop me an email if you use something else and I’ll look into it)
Once connected, the dashboard gives you live group head temperature, steam wand pressure, and full control to start and record brews.
Brew-by-Weight
This is the feature I’m most excited about. Enable it from the dashboard and the app will walk you through a quick calibration, then let you set a target yield weight. From that point on, the app figures out exactly when to stop the pump so your shot lands on the target, accounting for the lag between the stop command and the last drop hitting the cup.
It won’t be perfect on the first shot with a new bean or grind setting, expect around ±0.5g overshoot initially, but it learns. After 2–3 shots at the same settings it should be hitting the target reliably.
